Report from Sicur 2020
This week on the blog, we thought we’d hand the keys over to our Operations Manager Rob again for a quick update from his week in Madrid last week with the team at Grupo Maya…
As I mentioned in my last blog post a few weeks ago – no week tends to be the same for my team and I in the Specialist Cleaning Division and this last week was no exception!
Last week however, I swapped hi-vis for shirt and tie and spent the week in Madrid working with the team at our Spanish Distributor Grupo Maya at the SICUR show which took place in Madrid. The event is a massive three day event which brings together a range of manufacturers and companies from across Spain for one of the biggest events in the cleaning and FM sector over there.
The week was a massive success and a really great example of the kind of partnership working that has made our distribution expansion such a success the last few years. The team at Maya have done a number of these kind of exhibitions over the last year and they’ve developed a very slick operation; it was great to see such a queue of people lining up to get their hands on the system during the week.
One eye opening outcome of the week – even for someone like myself that has a pretty wide range of experience with SpaceVac – is that at these kind of shows, there are so many people coming up to the stand with new and interesting ideas for how they can make use of the technology themselves.
We have a number of big exhibitions and events coming over the coming months – including a speaking appearance for myself at the Facilities Event in Birmingham in a couple of months time – so to keep up to date with our whereabouts – be sure to check our events diary today!
In the meantime – this week Im back on the ground working on a number of big projects – be sure to connect with me on Linkedin to keep up to date!
