SpaceVac at the Tesco SAT Day

On Thursday last week the team from SpaceVac had the pleasure of visiting the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to be a part of Tesco’s annual Safety Awareness Team Day. The yearly event brings together over 300 of Tesco’s in-house safety and maintenance teams as well as partners and key suppliers for a day of learning and development including getting to grips with new innovations and products.

The team – MD Kunal Patel, as well as Sales Director Bill, Demonstrations Manager Grant and Technical Manager Andy – spent the day onsite, demonstrating the unique features of the SpaceVac system to the attendees. Safety has always been a key part of the SpaceVac system; it was the need to develop a safer method for cleaning gutters and high-level areas from the ground that first saw us developing the system nearly a decade ago – removing the need for businesses to call in things like cherry pickers and scaffolding – which can often be expensive as well as dangerous.
Since then however, everything we have done – from the development of our unique “safety release mechanism” (which ensures that poles dont separate during operation and fall on operators) through to the build and launch of our ATEX certified cleaning system (the first certified system developed anywhere in the world) – has been done with the comfort and safety of our operators in mind. With this in mind its fair to say – we were definitely among our kind of people on Thursday and it was fantastic to see the staffs response to the SpaceVac system.
The event kicks off an exciting couple of months for Team SpaceVac as we begin to work with the internal safety teams at Tesco to begin rolling out SpaceVac across Tesco stores nationwide.
