Guest Blog: Introducing Pegasus
As you may have noticed recently on the blog SpaceVac International have recently signed a new deal with Wellingborough based Pegasus who will begin working with us specifically to help us target opportunities in the logistics space.
It’s a new approach for us, and one we think will really benefit us as we stand to work with industry experts along the way. Today on the blog, we have a guest blog from Director Dawn Girardi, who introduces to Pegasus and the work that they do;
“PEGASUS Lift Truck Training has been offering fork-lift driver training across the region for close to a quarter of a century, but the past 12 months has seen the business grow and develop in several new directions and with more opportunities. Started by Giuseppe and Dawn Girardi in 1995, the Northamptonshire based company offers an ongoing professional standard of training and support and courses are designed to meet existing and proposed legislation.
2018 was a big year after making a decision to really push the company forward and ensure thinking out of the box met whatever challenges customers faced, it successfully saw a good number of new customers and managers of companies who moved on to new careers were seen to take Pegasus with them for continued service. Customer relationships are paramount, and the small team of S/E instructors are loyal and dedicated and determined to provide the excellent service they are looking for. Everyone at Pegasus share the same passion for helping customers and ongoing feedback is testament to the dedication flexibility quality and consistency of the training programs.
Just recently Pegasus has been recognised by Alpo in Burton Latimer for training one of their employees, on numerous trucks, Paul Stafford took the Forklift Driver of the Year 2019 title awarded by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum after competing against other drivers from some of the biggest logistics companies in the county and faced some stiff competition
Itssar Accredited Guisepe heads up the team that can boast many years of experience in delivering training on all types of materials handling equipment, as well as offering advice on health and safety matters. Meanwhile, Dawn has built up a wealth of experience in all areas of fork-lift sales, hire, servicing and finances and has invested time in numerous funded schemes available.
Training is offered on all types of warehouse equipment as well as manager/supervisor courses and assessments for new starters along with annual checks to make sure everyone is of the same ability. Courses are mainly tailored to the client’s site and working hours, however off-site training is also available. In addition to this travel is not a problem and the company has trained in various towns throughout the UK.
Last year saw a lot of activity from its Chamber of Commerce membership which has proved to be a tremendous support and many friendships and business relationships have been formed and respect gained.
The Pegasus team share a passion to deliver a reliable, honest and transparent service offering training to be proud of and gain respect throughout the industry, providing a service for Corporate and SME’s supporting their Warehouse Drivers. Successful credibility also includes training for Border Force at the Liverpool Docks and in the past, numerous courses were undertaken very successfully within HMP Stocken and HMP Ashwell until the funding ran out.
