How SpaceVacs Carbon Fibre Poles are Manufactured
28-08-2025
SpaceVac is proud to manufacture all of its carbon fibre reach cleaning poles right here in the UK in our own dedicated manufacturing facility at Advanced Composites Engineering.
Working in partnership with the team at ACE enabled us to not only take advantage of the operational benefits of bringing manufacture back to the UK but also access the incredible expertise and experience of the ACE team and their knowledge of Carbon engineering. Together, the teams have pushed the boundaries of what’s possible, creating a stronger, lighter, and more versatile range of poles over recent years.
The Manufacturing Process
At the heart of each pole lies a precise manufacturing technique known as roll-wrapping. This process involves tightly wrapping sheets of carbon fibre around a central mandrel. The way these sheets are layered, and the specific type of carbon fibre used, directly determines the final characteristics of the pole — from its weight and rigidity to the amount of flex it allows.
For SpaceVac, these properties are critical. They dictate how tall a pole can be built while remaining safe, stable, and easy to operate.

By investing in continuous improvement, SpaceVac has expanded its product range and opened the door to entirely new markets. From specialist industrial environments to everyday commercial cleaning, SpaceVac systems are now used in facilities all over the world — helping businesses work safer, smarter, and more efficiently.
