Case Study – SpaceVac & Radisson Blu

In the world of hospitality, cleanliness is of the upmost importance, as guests demand the highest in standards. 

Much like any other large scale building with lots of activity and inhabitants – hotels will naturally over time, collect dust; with some of it residing and settling in areas that were inaccessible to cleaning staff. While there is often a desire and need to remove this material from the site, this need for cleanliness has to be balanced with operational issues as well – as often there is neither the space to bring in access equipment to reach these areas, nor a time of day when the hotel isn’t in use. 

The team at Radisson Blu approached SpaceVac recently with a view to implementing a rollout of our internal cleaning systems across their estate of hotels in the UK to meet exactly this cleaning requirement. 

By removing dust quickly and efficiently from the ground, existing cleaning teams would be able to easily remove built up dust from across the building in no time and with minimal impact on guests – with the vacuum cleaner required no louder when in operation than the existing vacs in use onsite. 

While each property was unique, the buildings making up the estate featured a plethora of high-level areas including windowsills, atriums, and light fittings that were impossible to reach from the ground.

Through the end of 2019, SpaceVacs Demonstrations team – led by Global Sales Director Grant Phillips – worked closely with the RB team to deliver a managed rollout of SpaceVac across their estate – with training sessions being delivered across the country to get the teams up to speed with their new purchases.
